Ainsley 2 Light Wall Light Elstead

Ainsley is a two-light wall fitting spanning 40.6 cm, made for the wall above a bathroom mirror. A brushed brass crossbar rests on a round backplate, and turned cups at each end carry opal glass shades — the silhouette is traditional, the proportions modern.

Allowed in a bathroom

An IP44 rating means protection against splashing water from any direction, so this can hang above a basin or beside a mirror where an ordinary wall light may not. The manufacturer lists it for interior and bathroom use. It requires an earth connection.

Light through two opal shades

Two 3 W G9 LED lamps are supplied, each giving 300 lumens at a warm 3000 K — the equivalent of old 28 W bulbs. The cased opal shades are finished with a burnished brass trim ring and spread the light softly, without hard shadows across a face. Dimmable lamps are supported.
