Brinova Core wall light, walnut-stained pine, 1×E27, 20 cm

Brinova Core is a wooden wall light with a horizontal body resembling a short section of log and a single exposed bulb pointing downwards. Article 2015123600000 is made from walnut-stained pine; walnut describes the finish, not the species of timber. The dark surface and pronounced grain remain visible because there is no shade around the light source.

Allow for both the body and the bulb

The wooden body is 20 cm long. The manufacturer gives its height and width as a range of 8–12 cm, and the drawing applies that measurement to the body's cross-section. It should not be read as the overall height of the fitting with a bulb installed. When checking a position beside furniture or near a passage, allow additional space for the bulb you select.

The horizontal form occupies a short stretch of wall, while the textured timber remains part of the composition even with the light switched off. Compare its proportions with nearby shelving, picture frames and other fittings rather than judging its presence from the length alone.

An E27 bulb is part of the visual design

Core has one E27 socket rated for a bulb of up to 25 W. This is a maximum bulb rating, not a statement of brightness or of the consumption of every compatible bulb. Light colour, light output and the appearance of the glass depend on your choice of light source.

With no shade to conceal it, the bulb is directly visible. For a position close to seating, check where it will sit in relation to eye level. The wooden body does not provide the screening that a lampshade would.

A rustic wall-lighting accent

The log-like shape and strongly marked pine surface support a rustic interior scheme. Core can complement wall lighting in a living room, bedroom or hallway, particularly where dark timber appears elsewhere in the furnishings. A single light point does not establish that the whole room will be adequately lit; the chosen bulb, number of fittings and their placement still determine the result.
