Match the EUTRAC track system
When extending a track layout, select for the EUTRAC three-phase surface-mounted system, not simply for the black colour of the existing rail. The connector measures 5.8 cm long, 1.5 cm wide and 2.6 cm high. These are component dimensions, not a statement that the finished track run gains that length when the connector is fitted.
Electrical continuity and mechanical support
SLV requires use with a joint connector for structural stability; the German datasheet specifically identifies suspended installation in this requirement. The electrical connector should therefore not be treated as the sole mechanical reinforcement at such a joint.
