Chelsea 951CO copper garden lantern on a black post, 1×E27, IP44 – NORLYS

Chelsea 951CO is a classic garden lantern supplied complete with its post: a copper lantern with a clear, UV-stabilised polycarbonate diffuser, mounted on a black telescopic post of powder-coated cast aluminium. Below the lantern the post carries a decorative crossarm, and the lantern is topped by a pointed roof with a finial.

What is in the set and how tall it stands

The set consists of three Norlys articles: lantern 9012, post 3010 and decorative arm 9040. The post is telescopic, so the height is set on site — up to a maximum of 3.2 m, which lets you match the lantern to the width of the path and the height of the surrounding trees or fence. The set weighs 11.28 kg.

The post is fixed to its base through three ø10.5 mm holes placed every 120° on a ø240 mm circle. Foundation parts are not included: Norlys sells a concrete foundation 7668, a concrete-in anchor 305, a ground anchor 306 and a concrete foundation adapter 108 separately — the type of base has to be chosen before purchase.

Which light source you need to buy

The lantern has an E27 socket and takes an A55–A60 shaped bulb; the manufacturer gives a limit of 11 W for LED. The light source is not included and is replaced by the user. The diffuser is clear, so the bulb stays visible — its shape and colour temperature decide how the lantern looks after dark.

Connection and weather resistance

The terminals take conductors up to 4 × 2.5 mm² and allow the supply to be looped through to the next lantern, and the cable entry accepts round cable of 6–12.5 mm diameter. The lantern is protection class II, so it needs no earth conductor. IP44 protects it against splashing water and rain.

The manufacturer intends Chelsea for gardens and parks. A copper lantern with a decorative crossarm is a classic form that suits period buildings, manor driveways and traditional gardens.
