Endon Carnaby 111604 Green Floor Lamp Base B22 138 cm

Endon Carnaby 111604 is a green floor lamp base with a hand-turned wooden stem. Repeated rounded collars interrupt the slender upright, which meets a circular foot below and a brass lamp holder above. Its satin Cotswold green finish gives the shaped wood a different visual character from a polished metal stand.

A base to pair with a separate shade

This version is supplied as a base, not as a complete lamp with a shade. Endon recommends a decorative fabric shade measuring 35 or 40 cm in diameter. Choose the shade separately: its shape and fabric will help determine both the light distribution and the proportions of the finished lamp.

The base itself is 138 cm high, with a 30 cm diameter foot. When planning a position beside a sofa, cabinet or armchair, also allow for the width of your chosen shade. The foot diameter is not the overall width of the assembled lamp, so check the space around furniture and keep the adjacent passage clear.

B22 bulb and switched lamp holder

The brass holder incorporates an on/off switch and takes one B22 LED bulb rated up to 10 W. No bulb is included. Brightness and light colour therefore depend on the bulb you buy rather than being fixed characteristics of the base. A screw-in E27 bulb is not a substitute for the B22 fitting.

A 2 m grey braided fabric cable connects the base to its plug. Check the actual cable route to the socket, not just the straight-line distance, and keep it out of walkways. The instructions specify a 220–240 V, 50 Hz supply and an earthed connection.

Turned detailing and everyday care

The historical spindle profile suits classic and retro living rooms, bedrooms, dining rooms or studies. Because each wooden stem is turned by hand, the manufacturer allows small differences in finish between examples. Use the lamp on a stable, flat indoor surface; it is not suitable for a bathroom. Disconnect the supply before maintenance and clean with a dry cloth only, without liquid or abrasive cleaners.
