Endon Hereford 95980 Matt Black Outdoor Wall Light E27 IP44

Endon Hereford 95980 is a matt black outdoor wall light with a curved arm, a broad metal shade and a clear glass enclosure. Its outline draws on traditional fisherman's lamps, while the transparent glass keeps the bulb in view. The fitting combines aluminium, stainless steel and glass rather than using an opaque diffuser.

Allow for the projecting arm

Hereford measures 34.7 cm high and 25.5 cm wide, with a projection of 39.5 cm from the wall. That projection matters when choosing a position above a doorway or beside a walkway: this is not a close-fitting, flat wall light. Check the door's opening path and leave access for future bulb replacement.

The outdoor wall-mounted format suits an entrance, terrace, balcony or gazebo with a suitable mounting surface. The curved arm, visible fasteners and metal shade bring together classic, retro and industrial details. It can also accompany a modern-classic exterior where a traditional silhouette is preferred.

A separately purchased E27 bulb

The fitting requires one replaceable E27 LED bulb rated at no more than 10 W. No bulb is included. Endon recommends filament bulbs, whose appearance remains visible behind the clear glass. Brightness and colour temperature therefore depend on the bulb you choose; they are not fixed specifications of this fitting.

Hereford is listed as dimmable. Dimming requires a suitable dimmable bulb and compatible controls, rather than an assumed built-in adjustment button. There is no integrated LED module to define a permanent light output.

Installation limits and care

The supply is 220–240 V, and this Class I fitting must be earthed. To maintain its IP44 rating, the instructions require sealing the cable entry points and screw positions. Do not install it where it may be immersed, heavily splashed or exposed to standing water.

The instructions also permit bathroom use outside the bathroom zones, with residual-current protection not exceeding 30 mA. Clean with a dry cloth only, avoiding liquid and abrasive cleaners. Before changing the bulb, disconnect the power and allow the bulb to cool.
