Endon Otto Brass White Wall Light 75960

Endon Otto 75960 pairs a glossy opal glass globe with a slender upright stem and a circular wall plate. The steel metalwork has a brushed brass plated finish, rather than being made from solid brass. Its white globe provides a distinct contrast with the exposed metal below.

Allow for the complete wall profile

The fitting is 26.7 cm high and 12 cm wide, with a projection of 13.9 cm from the wall. Compare that projection with the available space and the swing of nearby doors before deciding where to install it. The height describes the complete fitting, not just the glass shade.

The opal globe covers the bulb instead of leaving it exposed. This makes Otto a choice for supplementary lighting in living rooms, bedrooms and dining spaces, including hotel and restaurant interiors. Its fixed globe form should not be confused with an adjustable spotlight intended to aim a narrow beam at a book.

A separate G9 bulb determines the light

There is one G9 lampholder, and Endon recommends a 5 W LED bulb. The bulb is not supplied. Brightness and colour temperature therefore depend on the light source you select, rather than a built-in LED module. Choose them to suit the role of the wall light and the other lighting in the room.

Dimming requires a dimmable bulb and compatible control equipment. A G9 base alone does not make every bulb dimmable. Do not exceed the permitted wattage when replacing the light source.

Mid-century geometry

The sphere, round backplate and straight stem suit contemporary interiors with retro references. The brass finish can be coordinated with other metal details, while the opal shade gives this version a different appearance from a clear-glass wall light.

Installation and glass care

Otto connects to a 220–240 V supply and requires an earth connection. The pack includes fixings, a terminal connection block and an Allen key. The instructions specify an upward-facing lampholder and exclude bathroom use. Avoid overtightening the glass shade. Allow 10 minutes for cooling before cleaning, and use a dry cloth only, without liquid or abrasive cleaners.
