Conway is a wall light with a gently curved arm and a round wall plate, finished in brushed satin brass. The arm ends in an upright lampholder carrying a tapered fabric shade in ivory. A pull cord with a brass pull hangs below the holder — the switch is built into the light itself.
Can it go in a bathroom?
The fitting is rated IP44, meaning it is protected against water splashed from any direction. Endon approves it for bathroom zone 2, and for zone 1 only when the circuit is protected by a 30 mA RCD. Before buying, check which zone the planned position falls into and how the circuit is protected.
The pull switch means the light is turned on and off at the fitting, independently of the wall switch. Beyond the bathroom it is intended for living rooms, bedrooms and dining rooms, as well as hotels and restaurants. Brass, a fabric shade and the traditional arm shape give it a modern classic character.
Size and installation
The wall light is 25 cm tall and 15 cm wide, and it projects 24 cm from the wall. That last figure is the one to compare with the space beside a mirror or along a walkway, as the shade sits almost a quarter of a metre out from the wall. It weighs 0.5 kg.
It is a Class I fitting, so the connection box must provide an earth conductor for its metal body.
Which bulb does it need?
The light has a single G9 lampholder and takes an LED capsule of up to 3 W. No bulb is included, so you choose the light colour yourself — for bathrooms and bedrooms 2700–3000 K is the usual choice, a warm, slightly yellowish light. The manufacturer gives 3 W LED as the limit, so a standard, higher-wattage G9 halogen capsule does not belong in this fitting.
