Fabbian Beluga Royal pendant light 40 cm, copper D57A6141

Fabbian Beluga Royal D57A6141 is a pendant light with a spherical blown-glass shade measuring 40 cm in diameter. The Copper variant pairs a metallised surface in copper and bronze tones with a black-nickel-finished metal structure. Marc Sadler's design centres on one suspended globe rather than the branching arms of a chandelier.

Allowing space for the globe

The shade itself is 39 cm high, so positioning requires attention to its vertical presence as well as its width. Above a dining table or a table in a living area, the single sphere provides a clear focal point. In a bedroom or hallway, choose a position that keeps the globe outside the walking route.

When switched off, the metallised glass reflects its surroundings. With the light on, the source inside becomes visible. The smooth spherical shape works with modern interiors, while the reflective finish can also form part of a glamour scheme. This is not an opaque shade: the appearance of the bulb you select contributes to the finished composition.

A replaceable bulb, chosen separately

There is one E27 socket, and the bulb is not included. Fabbian's datasheet specifies a 22 W LED source and a maximum wattage of 150 W. Select brightness and colour temperature according to the bulb's own specifications; figures associated with a reference source should not be treated as fixed properties of the glass fitting.

The manufacturer lists PHASE CUT dimming over a 30–100% range. Check that both the chosen bulb and the dimmer support this control method. An E27 base alone does not make every compatible bulb dimmable.

Installation and care

An off-centre cable fastener is supplied, allowing the cable to be positioned away from the electrical connection point. The fitting operates on 220–240 V and requires protective earthing as a class I appliance. The installation instructions exclude humid locations and outdoor use. Disconnect the supply before installation or maintenance. For the glass, the manufacturer specifically prohibits abrasive cleaning products and solvents.
