Fulton is a four-light flush ceiling light by Hinkley, distributed by Elstead Lighting. The bulbs sit inside an open, square cage of steel bars that tapers towards the ceiling, with no glass at all. The finish is two-tone: the cage is a dark bronze, while the round ceiling plate and the lampholder cluster are brass-coloured.
Size and installation
The light measures 45.7 × 45.7 cm and is only 18.2 cm high, so it mounts directly against the ceiling. In a low room, compare that height with how far an ordinary pendant would hang down. The fitting weighs 2.22 kg and is intended for indoor use.
It is a class I fitting, so it must be connected to a protective earth conductor.
Bulbs and light
Inside are four sideways-facing E27 lampholders, each for a bulb of up to 60 W. Bulbs are not included. The cage has no shades, so the bulbs are fully visible and their look sets the effect — the manufacturer recommends clear Edison-style E27 LED bulbs, sold separately. A colour temperature of 2700–3000 K gives a warm, incandescent feel.
The exposed bulbs shine directly, with no shade to diffuse them. The fitting works with dimmable bulbs: dimming needs dimmable E27 bulbs and a dimmer in the circuit.
Style and range
The manufacturer describes Fulton as a minimalist design in a vintage industrial style: slim bars, bare bulbs and dark bronze set against brass. The range also includes 1- and 4-light pendants, 7- and 13-light chandeliers and a 2-light wall light in the same finish.
