Georgette is a Hinkley LED wall light shaped as an upright cylinder: a milky light tube sits inside a sleeve of clear fluted crystal, held at the middle by a collar joined to a round wall plate. The metal is finished in lacquered brass.
Size and bathrooms
The smaller version is 35.6 cm high and 13.3 cm wide, and projects 10.2 cm from the wall; it weighs 1.59 kg. The IP44 rating protects it against splashing water, and the manufacturer names the bathroom as its location. It is a Class I fitting and needs an earth connection.
What light it gives
The source is an integrated 14.4 W LED module — there is no socket and no bulb to replace, and the light is ready as soon as it is wired in. 3000 K is a warm white, and a colour rendering index of CRI 94 makes skin tones and fabrics look almost as they do in daylight — which matters at a mirror. The manufacturer states that the fitting is dimmable; the energy label shows class F.
The fluted crystal breaks the light into vertical bands and the milky tube inside diffuses it, so individual LEDs are not visible.
Style
Brass with cut crystal draws on classic bathroom lighting, and the simple, symmetrical form does not overwhelm a small wall. The Georgette range also includes a longer, 61 cm version with two segments.
