GIRONA LE42009 by Luces Exclusivas is a pendant light with a broad, domed shade. Its black exterior contrasts with a copper-coloured interior, while a white light-emitting surface is visible from below. The manufacturer identifies aluminium and acrylic as the fixture materials. The copper colour should therefore not be mistaken for a solid copper shade.
Allowing for a 60 cm shade
The shade measures 60 cm in diameter, and the stated overall fixture height is 170 cm. These are different measurements: the height does not describe the dome alone. Before choosing a position, compare the shade width with your dining table or kitchen island and measure the distance between the ceiling and the surface beneath it. Where people walk below the pendant, overhead clearance also matters.
The wide, single-shade form supports placement over a dining table, a suitably sized kitchen island or a living-room seating area. The actual room and furniture dimensions should guide that decision. A room photograph can show the appearance of the pendant, but its apparent scale is not a substitute for checking your own space.
An included, integrated LED source
The fixture contains a 40 W integrated LED source. The manufacturer specifies a source luminous flux of 2400 lm and a colour temperature of 3000 K, which is warm white. There is no separate screw-in bulb to choose for this colour temperature. When coordinating the pendant with other lights, compare their stated colour temperatures rather than relying on the LED designation alone.
Black outside, copper colour within
A slender suspension and cylindrical ceiling canopy leave the rounded shade as the main visible shape. This restrained geometry supports contemporary and modernist interiors rather than the branching form of a chandelier. The copper-coloured accent sits inside the dome and is particularly visible from a seated position at a table. When coordinating nearby metal finishes, consider both colours, not just the black exterior seen from above.
