Gea Luce IOLE L FIOLO1 is a brushed-gold table lamp with an aluminium body that curves into an open arc above a round base. A white opal silicone diffuser follows the inside edge. Rather than a conventional shade around a visible bulb, the design uses an integrated LED line to trace the curve.
Allow room for the arc, not just the base
The lamp measures 40 cm high and 53 cm wide, while its base is 18 cm in diameter. The footprint of the base therefore does not describe the space needed by the whole fitting. Before choosing it for a bedside table, compare the full outline with the available surface and the clearance beside it. On a side table or chest of drawers, take nearby objects into account too.
Its open geometry and lack of a fabric shade support modern and minimalist interiors. The brushed-gold surface remains part of the composition when the lamp is off. It can provide supplementary lighting in a living room or bedroom; this is a freestanding table lamp, not a fitting intended for wall mounting.
The dimmer is already on the cable
The integrated 12 W LED produces warm-white light at 3000 K. The manufacturer specifies 520 lm and diffuse light distribution. The silicone diffuser covers the lighting line along the curved body. There is no separate screw-in bulb to choose for this design.
An included push-button dimmer in the cable controls the brightness. Adjustment is therefore part of the lamp itself rather than something that requires a separate wall dimmer in the electrical installation. When positioning the lamp, keep the cable control accessible instead of leaving it behind the furniture.
Cleaning the gold-finished body
Disconnect the power before cleaning. The instructions permit a damp cloth with mild detergent, followed by gentle drying with a soft, clean cloth. Keep water and detergent away from the cable and electrical components.
