Italux Bumi LED Ceiling Light White 48W 4000K 48 cm PLF-53647-L-CL

The Italux Bumi is a round LED flush ceiling light 48 cm across, built around a single integrated 48 W light module. PLF-53647-L-CL is the largest of the three sizes in the Bumi collection and is designed to be a room's main light source rather than a supplementary fitting.

Design and finish

The wide white outer ring is moulded with a woven, basket-weave relief. The small angled facets catch light from different directions, so the fitting keeps a visible texture even when it is switched off. At its centre sits a frosted, snow-textured diffuser framed by a narrow gold-coloured band. That band is the only warm accent in an otherwise all-white piece, and it is what keeps Bumi from looking like a purely technical ceiling light.

The shade is made of plastic, while the body and mounting plate are steel. At just 8 cm deep the fitting sits close to the ceiling, so it does not visually lower the room and works in spaces with limited head height.

The light it gives

The LED module delivers 3360 lumens from 48 W, roughly 70 lm/W. The colour temperature is 4000 K neutral white: not as yellow as 3000 K, not as cold as 6000 K, so wall paint, wood and fabrics keep their natural tone. Colour rendering is Ra 80+ and the beam angle is 120 degrees, which spreads the light across the whole room instead of pooling it directly underneath.

Bumi is not dimmable and has no switchable colour temperature. It comes on at full output the moment you flick the switch, with no remote, app or extra driver to set up.

Installation and use

The luminaire mounts straight onto the ceiling on a 45 cm steel base plate, which the 48 cm shade covers completely. It runs on standard 230 V mains (220-240 V range) with no external power supply. The IP20 rating places it in dry interiors: living rooms, bedrooms, dining rooms, kitchens, home offices and hallways, as well as commercial interiors such as hotel rooms.

The light source is permanently built in and cannot be replaced, which is why the manufacturer covers the complete fitting with a 5-year warranty.
