Italux Malmo 6-Light Pendant Lamp Black Gold Steel E27 PEN-5104-6-BKGD

Malmo by Italux is a six-light pendant built around an upright black stem, with six gold half-sphere shades staggered along it in a spiral. Each shade is open at the bottom, so the bulb stays in view — this is a fitting worth pairing with decorative lamps.

Build and finish

The whole luminaire is steel. The stem and the ceiling rose are matt black, the shades gold, and that contrast keeps the piece decorative even when the light is off. Because the shades alternate on either side of the stem, the silhouette stays narrow: the body measures 26 × 26 cm in plan and 80 cm in height, and with its suspension the pendant hangs 150 cm below the ceiling.

Lamps and control

There are six E27 sockets rated at up to 40 W each, running on a standard 220–240 V supply. Bulbs are not included, so you choose the colour temperature and the output yourself — anything from warm decorative filament lamps to bright neutral-white LEDs. Italux states the fitting can be dimmed; that requires dimmable bulbs and a dimmer matched to them.

Where Malmo works

The vertical, compact form suits places where a lighting accent has to occupy little floor plan: above a dining table, in a corner of the living room, over a stairwell or above a counter. Italux lists the living room, bedroom, dining room and study. With an IP20 rating the pendant is for dry interiors only — not for bathrooms or outdoor use.
