Keter Lighting RUBEN WHITE 531 pendant lamp, 3xE27, white wire cages

RUBEN WHITE 531 is a Keter Lighting pendant with three light points hung in a cascade on cables of different lengths. Each E27 lampholder sits in an open, cube-shaped cage of thin wire turned onto one corner, and all three cables run up to a round ceiling canopy. The frame and shades are metal and entirely white.

Size and where to hang it

The manufacturer gives a 32 × 32 cm footprint and an overall height of 120 cm. The cages hang at three different levels and the lowest ends up to 120 cm below the ceiling — compare that with your own ceiling height and with what will stand or pass beneath it.

The cascade means the lamp occupies a vertical strip of space rather than a wide circle: with a 32 cm footprint it also fits where a large shade would be too bulky, such as a narrow hallway or above part of a worktop.

Bulbs and brightness

The lamp has three E27 lampholders and the manufacturer allows a bulb of up to 60 W in each. Bulbs are not included — you need to buy three. The cages are open, so the bulb stays fully visible and its shape is part of the look.

Brightness depends on the bulbs you choose. Three LED bulbs equivalent to an old 60 W bulb, about 800 lm each, give roughly 2400 lm together — enough for the main lighting of a room. The wire does not hide the bulb from view, so choose the colour temperature deliberately: 2700 K is warm, slightly yellow light close to a traditional incandescent bulb.

The fitting has no built-in dimmer. The light can be dimmed only with bulbs marked as dimmable and a dimmer in the circuit.

Style and intended use

Keter Lighting classes RUBEN as modern and industrial: geometric wire cages, exposed bulbs and uncovered cables are typical of loft-style lighting, while the all-white finish keeps the canopy and cables from standing out against a white ceiling. The manufacturer intends the lamp for living rooms, kitchens and hallways, as well as restaurants and cafés. It is for indoor use only.

The RUBEN series comes in white, black, gold, silver and wood versions, in variants with one, two, three and five cages, plus wall lights and spotlights, so the same form can be repeated across several rooms.
