The Lamppost 3005 is a telescopic Norlys lighting column in cast aluminium, powder-coated light grey RAL 9006. Its height adjusts between 360 and 450 cm, and the shaft ends at the top in a Ø60 mm spigot onto which the luminaire is fitted. The manufacturer intends it for roads, pavements, paths, squares, parks and gardens, on private as well as public land.
What is included, and what you need to add
The column is the supporting structure only: it comes without a luminaire or light source. You need a post-top light made for a Ø60 mm spigot; check that diameter on the data sheet of the chosen luminaire before ordering. The concrete foundation and the reducers are sold separately by the manufacturer.
The lower part of the shaft has an inspection door with a protective earth (PE) terminal behind it; the enclosed installation manual describes the connection.
Construction, dimensions and installation
The shaft is made of three sections of 120, 76 and 60 mm diameter, tapering upwards. The base plate measures 276 × 276 mm and has four ø23 mm holes on a 200 × 200 mm square; it bolts to a concrete foundation whose anchors must match that pattern.
The column weighs 17.32 kg, or 20.18 kg packed. It ships collapsed in a 240 cm long carton, which decides what vehicle can bring it to site. The manufacturer declares conformity with the EN 40 standards for lighting columns.
Colour and height
At Norlys the AL code is a paint colour, light grey RAL 9006, not bare metal. The same column is also made in graphite (3005GR). At up to 4.5 m it lifts the luminaire well above the road or pavement, so the light covers a wider strip of ground than from a low garden bollard.
