Luces Exclusivas CASTRO LE41960 gold pendant light, 35 cm, E27

CASTRO LE41960 by Luces Exclusivas is a gold pendant light with a single spherical shade. The manufacturer specifies glass and aluminium. Its product photograph shows a smooth, glossy surface, a matching ceiling canopy and an opening at the bottom of the sphere. The design uses one rounded volume rather than a branching frame with several shades.

Allow for a 35 cm sphere

The stated diameter is 35 cm and the overall height is 120 cm. Comparing that diameter with the width of your table or kitchen island helps you judge the space the shade will occupy above it. The height refers to the pendant as a whole, not just to the spherical shade.

Above a dining table, check the proposed position of the lower edge against everyday use of the surface. In a living room or bedroom, consider nearby walking routes as well. Unlike a shallow flush ceiling light, CASTRO extends down into the room. Room height, furniture placement and the intended ceiling point should therefore be considered together before choosing this size.

Choose one E27 bulb separately

The fitting has one E27 socket for a bulb rated at no more than 12 W. No bulb is supplied, so the light source must be purchased separately. Brightness and light colour depend on the bulb you choose; the gold finish does not specify a colour temperature.

Check the E27 base, wattage and bulb dimensions against the shade when selecting a source. CASTRO is specified for 230 V. The 12 W figure is a maximum bulb rating, not a statement of light output. Compare the selected bulb's lumen rating when deciding how much light you need over the surface.

A simple shape with a reflective finish

The spherical outline and slender suspension suit modern and modernist interiors. The glossy gold surface also offers a connection to glamour styling when other furnishings repeat gold details. Decoration comes from the single geometric form and its finish, rather than added ornaments. Consider its daytime appearance as well as its lighting role: the sphere remains a visible element above the table when switched off.
