Mantra TORCH 6827 sand white LED ceiling light, 72.7 cm, 36 W 3000 K

The Mantra TORCH 6827 is a sand white LED ceiling light with three slim crossbars positioned at different levels on a central stem. Its spreading arms form an open geometric arrangement, with elongated illuminated surfaces rather than conventional lampshades. The manufacturer lists aluminium, metal and acrylic as the construction materials.

A wide outline with a fixed drop

The fitting measures 72.7 cm in diameter and 32.2 cm in height. Although the individual profiles are slender, their overall reach needs to be allowed for when choosing a position. Compare the complete outline with nearby tall cabinets, doors and other fittings. The circular ceiling canopy is 18 cm in diameter; that smaller measurement does not describe the width of the whole light.

The TORCH mounts directly to the ceiling rather than hanging from a suspension cable. Its height is not adjustable, so the position of the lowest arms should be considered before installation. The assembly instructions show a mounting bracket and a connection to a 220–240 V supply.

Built-in warm-white light

The integrated LEDs use 36 W and have a colour temperature of 3000 K. The manufacturer declares a luminous flux of 2850 lm. There are no separate screw-in bulbs to choose or buy, but equally the colour temperature cannot be changed by swapping a standard bulb. The built-in source is marked as non-replaceable. This version is also non-dimmable, an important point if the existing lighting circuit already has a dimmer.

Geometric lighting for living spaces

Plain white bars and an absence of decorative trim suit modern, minimalist and hi-tech interiors. Consider the TORCH for general lighting in a living room, dining room, bedroom, kitchen, study or spacious entrance hall. Its diameter alone does not establish how much of a particular room it will illuminate; assess the declared light output against the room itself. Separate local lighting should be planned for reading or detailed work at a desk.
