LENS C220CL-12W3K-B is a surface-mounted spotlight from the Lens series: a black aluminium base 90 mm across, with a cylindrical head hanging from a single bracket beneath it. The head tilts through 0–90° and rotates through 350°, so the direction of the beam is set after the fitting is on the ceiling. The LED module is built in permanently.

How big it is and how it goes up

The fitting stands 74 mm below the ceiling — 30 mm of that is the base disc, the remaining 36 mm the head. At 90 mm across it covers less ceiling than the canopy of a typical flush light, so several units can be set in a row along a wall.

No cut-out is needed: the base is screwed to the ceiling surface and the supply wire goes to the L and N terminals. The fitting weighs 0.6 kg net, runs on 220–240 V, 50 Hz and is protection class II, so no earth conductor is required.

What the light is like

The module draws 12 W and delivers 1150 lm at 3000 K, a warm white with a slightly yellow cast. That is noticeably more light than an old 60 W bulb, but gathered into a 70° beam: the fitting lights a patch of surface below it rather than a whole room.

A colour rendering index of Ra 90 means colours under this light look close to how they look in daylight, which matters over a worktop, on a picture and on a display. The fitting is not dimmable and the diode cannot be replaced, so the output stays constant. For the built-in light source the manufacturer declares energy efficiency class G.

Build and where it works

The whole body is aluminium finished in black: two cylinders and the visible metal bracket between them, with no ornament. On a light ceiling that minimal shape reads as a clear marker; on a dark one it almost disappears.

The movable head and the narrow beam suit places where the light has to land on something specific: a picture or a shelf in the living room, a worktop in the kitchen, goods in a shop. The Lens series carries the same shape in white (C220CL-12W3K-W) and in a stronger 15 W version (C217CL-15W3K-B and C217CL-15W3K-W).
