Maytoni Trame C806WL-L5W is a wall light shaped as an oval white metal band, open at the top and bottom. The body is 17.5 cm wide and 8 cm tall and projects 9 cm from the wall. The LED source is built in, so there is no bulb to buy.
How it lights and how much light it gives
Because the housing is open on both sides, light leaves upwards and downwards along the wall at the same time — the manufacturer states a 300° beam angle. The LED module draws 6 W and gives 250 lm, which is less than typical mood lighting at around 400 lm. It is a fitting that washes the wall and supplements the main lighting rather than lighting a whole room on its own. 3000 K is warm white, and CRI 80 is typical of ordinary home lighting.
The manufacturer lists the light as non-dimmable, so it belongs on a standard switch rather than a dimmer. The declared energy class is G at 6 kWh per 1000 hours; the low class follows from an efficacy of about 42 lm/W. The manufacturer rates the source at 50,000 hours, which at three hours a day comes to more than 45 years.
Installation
A metal mounting bar is screwed to the wall with two wall plugs, the supply wires go into a terminal block, and the body slides onto the bar and is locked with side screws. The fitting is protection class I, which means an earth conductor must be available in the wall box.
The 9 cm projection is the figure to compare with the width of the passage where it will hang, and the 17.5 cm width with the free stretch of wall between a door frame, a picture or furniture.
Which rooms it suits
Maytoni places the model in its Modern collection, and the form is modern accordingly: a smooth white oval without ornament, with its openings facing along the wall. It is intended for living rooms, bedrooms and dining rooms, as well as hotel interiors.
