Mount Vernon Medium Outdoor Wall Lantern - 1 Light Source - Black Elstead

The medium Mount Vernon wall lantern from Kichler pairs a black aluminium body with panes of clear seedy glass full of fine air bubbles. A wide, flared roof sits over the glass cage, and the arm above ends in a scroll wrapped around a finial — the outline of a classic street lantern, adapted for the wall.

The middle size of the range

It measures 42.6 cm high and 19.1 cm wide, with a 21 cm projection, which places it between the large (49.5 cm) and small (31.8 cm) Mount Vernon. When choosing a size, compare the lantern's height with the door or window it will hang beside. The fitting weighs 2.2 kg.

IP44 protects it against splashing water from every side, and the manufacturer specifies it for mounting on the outside of a building. As a Class I fitting it needs an earth conductor in the connection box. For mounting on the corner of a wall, the C-BKT2-BLACK or C-BKT2-BROWN corner bracket is offered separately.

Light source

The E27 socket takes one bulb of up to 60 W — it is not in the box. The glass is clear, so the bulb stays on show and sets the colour of the light around your entrance; the bubbles only slightly veil it. The fitting is compatible with dimmable bulbs where the circuit has a dimmer.
