Mount Vernon Small Outdoor Wall Lantern - 1 Light Source - Olde Bronze Elstead

The smallest lantern in Kichler's Mount Vernon range, here in the Olde Bronze finish: a dark, aged bronze that turns to coppery highlights along the edges of the roof and frames. Clear seedy glass is enclosed in a cage beneath a flared roof, and the arm is crowned with a spiral scroll and finial.

Where it fits

The lantern is 31.8 cm high and 14 cm wide, and projects just 15.9 cm from the wall. That means it fits beside a narrow side door, at a garden gate or on a short stretch of wall where the larger versions (42.6 and 49.5 cm) would look too bulky. The aluminium fitting weighs 1.25 kg.

With IP44 it is protected from splashing water, and the manufacturer specifies it for outdoor mounting. It is a Class I fitting, so it is wired with an earth conductor. If it is going on the corner of a building, the C-BKT2-BROWN or C-BKT2-BLACK corner bracket is available separately.

Light source

Under the roof is a standard E27 socket for one bulb of up to 60 W; it is not included. The panes are clear, so the bulb stays on show and the bubbles only soften its outline. Dimming works with a dimmable bulb and a dimmer.
