Norlys Namsos 1931AL LED bollard light, 95 cm, light grey RAL 9006, 8.4 W, 3000 K, dimmable

Namsos 1931AL is a 95 cm Norlys bollard with a rectangular 24 × 12 cm section, cast in aluminium and powder-coated in light grey RAL 9006 (named ALUMINIUM on the manufacturer's card). Near the top of the front face it has a square window of satin safety glass through which the light comes out.

What light it gives

The fitting draws 8.4 W and delivers 566 lm of 3000 K light, a warm white, at CRI 80. The LED module alone is rated at 1176 lm, but the figure to compare with other bollards is the output of the whole fitting, because that is what reaches the path.

The light is shielded and directed downwards: the ULOR is 0%, and the BUG rating B0-U1-G0 means the bollard lights the ground around it without shining into the sky or into windows. It can be used with a phase dimmer — the manufacturer allows both trailing-edge (TE) and leading-edge (LE) operation.

Installation and connection

The bollard is fixed with four bolts through ø10 mm holes spaced 61 × 121 mm. For setting it in place Norlys sells a 112ZX0009 concrete-in anchor, a 113GA0009 ground anchor and a 114GA0010 adapter for a concrete foundation separately — the choice depends on the base. The terminals take conductors up to 3 × 4 mm², including when further bollards are looped through.

The fitting is protection class I, so it needs a protective earth. The manufacturer also states how many bollards one circuit can carry: 46 on a B10 breaker, 75 on B16, 74 on C10 and 120 on C16 — a number to set against the planned length of the run. The bollard weighs 9.04 kg.

Durability and servicing

IP65 means the housing is dust-tight and protected against water jets, and IK08 means resistance to an impact of 5 J. The LED module keeps 90% of its flux for more than 52 600 h and 80% for more than 102 000 h, and the driver is rated for 50 000 h. Both the module and the driver are replaced by a professional service.
