Neon Flex HR Eco is a flexible LED neon: a silicone profile with a 6 × 12 mm cross-section in which 100 SMD 2835 LEDs per metre shine through an opal face as one continuous line, with no visible dots. This version gives cool daylight at 6500 K. It is sold by the metre – the “1 m” listing is the price of one metre cut from a 25 m reel.

Cutting, bending and mounting

The neon can be cut every 1 cm, only at the marked points, so the length can be matched to a specific sign, shelf or edge. The profile bends sideways in the plane in which it is wound on the reel; it must not be twisted. Mounting clips and end caps are separate HR Eco accessories and are not included. The producer recommends mounting on a clean surface, ideally in an aluminium profile that dissipates heat, at an ambient temperature of at least 10°C.

12 V supply

The neon runs on 12 V DC and has no built-in power supply, so a separate 12 V constant-voltage driver is needed. One metre draws 12 W, so the driver is sized to the total length: 5 m already needs 60 W. Several sections are connected to the driver in parallel.

What kind of light it gives

One metre of neon delivers 450 lm with a 120° beam angle. At 6500 K the light is cool daylight white – well suited to backlighting lettering, logos and edges where a sharp, bright outline matters. The producer states a 30,000 h lifetime and energy class F.

Where it can be installed

In its standard form the neon is rated IP44 and is intended mainly for indoor use – it withstands splashing water, so it also works in a bathroom. With the ends closed by special IP65 end caps, the producer allows outdoor use. The operating temperature range is -20 to +50°C.
