Nordlux Ellen 20 white E14 wall light

Nordlux Ellen 20 is a white metal wall light with a rounded shade and a slender curved arm. The simple dome and light outline give it a Scandinavian and minimalist character. Its open underside directs light downwards, with the manufacturer suggesting placement beside a bed or sofa.

Size and space on the wall

The fitting is 43 cm high and 26 cm wide, while the shade is 20 cm in diameter. Compare these measurements with the available wall area and the position of your headboard or sofa back. The shade diameter describes the dome itself, rather than the complete width of the fitting. Its position also needs to allow for light emerging beneath the shade.

Choose one E14 bulb separately

There is one E14 socket for a bulb rated at a maximum of 40 W. A bulb is not included, so a suitable source needs to be selected before use. Light colour and output depend on that choice: compare the bulbs' colour temperatures and lumen ratings rather than treating the metal fitting as having a fixed brightness. The manufacturer identifies this wall light as non-dimmable.

Cable, switching and room use

The supplied white textile-covered cable is 150 cm long, with a switch on the cable. Check both the reach to a socket and access to the switch when choosing the position. The manufacturer permits installation with the included cable or connection directly to a wall outlet. This gives two ways to plan the power supply according to the connection available at the wall.

Ellen can be placed in a living room or bedroom, or used as supplementary wall lighting in a dining room, hotel or restaurant. Its IP20 rating is for dry interiors without water protection. Supply voltage is 220–240 V; protection class II means double insulation without a protective earth connection.
