Nordlux Galloway E27 pendant light, black with brass details

Nordlux Galloway is an exposed-bulb pendant with a slender metal socket housing. Vertical grooves run down the black cylinder, framed by brass details at its upper and lower edges. With no broad shade surrounding the bulb, the shape of your chosen light source remains a visible part of the finished arrangement.

Choose the bulb separately

Galloway has one E27 socket and is supplied without a light source. The decorative bulb shown in the photographs illustrates a possible combination; it is not included. You therefore need to select both the bulb shape and its lighting characteristics separately. The maximum permitted bulb wattage is 40 W. This is a limit for the fitted bulb, not a statement of the power consumed by every possible combination.

Brightness and colour temperature depend on the bulb you install rather than the black-and-brass housing. The manufacturer confirms dimming is possible with a dimmable bulb. If you intend to dim the light, also check that the bulb is compatible with your dimmer: an E27 base alone does not establish dimming capability.

Measure the complete combination

The metal housing is 16.8 cm high and 5.5 cm in diameter. These dimensions exclude the separately purchased bulb, so a larger globe will change the overall width and length. Before installation, compare the complete combination with the space above your dining table, kitchen island or occasional table.

The black cable has a textile surface and measures 200 cm; the canopy dimension is 12.2 cm. Cable length should not be confused with the height of the socket housing. Nordlux identifies the cable as non-replaceable, rather than a separately selectable accessory. The mounting instructions state that fixing screws are not included; select them to suit the mounting surface.

Grooved black metal and brass accents

The fluting and brass edges introduce an Art Deco reference, while the simple silhouette also suits restrained Scandinavian interiors. Galloway is intended for indoor use. It can serve as a single decorative pendant in a living room, bedroom or dining area. When planning illumination over a surface, take account of the actual lumen output and light distribution of the bulb you choose.
