NORLYS Energy Distributor 2900GB garden power post, 2 × 16 A type E sockets, 49 cm, beige grey RAL 7006

The NORLYS Energy Distributor 2900GB is a garden power post with two 230 V sockets – it has no light source. The 49 cm body is an extruded aluminium profile, powder-coated in beige grey (RAL 7006). The plain rectangular form without ornament suits modern and minimalist outdoor schemes, and two black sockets with hinged flip covers sit side by side near the top of one face.

Sockets and permitted load

Both sockets are type E (Uni), 16 A, with a protruding earth pin. Type E plugs fit, as do hybrid CEE 7/7 plugs, which have a hole for that pin; a pure type F plug (CEE 7/4) does not. The installation manual limits each socket to 1800 W, and that figure – not the 16 A rating alone – is the one to compare with the power of the equipment you intend to run here.

Connecting to the installation

The post is protection class I, so it needs a protective earth conductor connected. The terminals take conductors up to 3 × 4 mm² and allow the supply to be looped on to the next post with the same cross-section, so several posts can run on one line. The cable gland accepts round-sheathed cable up to 12.5 mm in diameter. The manufacturer requires installation and servicing to be carried out by a suitably qualified person.

Size, mounting and colour

The post is 49 cm high, occupies 14 × 12 cm and weighs 3.45 kg net; the same family includes the lower 2901 version at 25 cm. The base is bolted down through four ø7 mm holes on a 64 × 64 mm pattern. Screws are not included, and the NORLYS 2934 concreting anchor is sold separately. IP54 means protection against dust and against splashing water from any direction, so the post can stand in the garden, on a terrace or by a driveway.

RAL 7006 is a warm grey with a brownish cast. The RAL code lets you match other garden elements to the post in the same colour.
