ORGANIC III is a ceiling plate shaped like an irregular, water-worn stone – a steel panel 39.5 × 39.5 cm and only 2.7 cm thick, with three round light apertures placed off-centre. The black RAL 9005 finish means that with the light off the fitting reads as a graphic shape on the ceiling.
Construction
The plate is powder-coated steel; the manufacturer specifies swatch P013 RAL 9005. Its 2.7 cm thickness is one of the fitting's most useful properties – it takes almost nothing off the ceiling height, which matters in corridors, hallways and low rooms. Net weight is 1.5 kg.
Light sources
Three GX53 holders take modules of up to 12 W each. The sources are replaceable but not included, so colour temperature and output are chosen separately – the same fitting can give a warm 2700 K over a sofa or a neutral 4000 K over a work area. All three points sit in one switching section, so they come on together.
Installation and supply
The plate mounts directly to the ceiling. The mounting kit (plugs and screws) is not supplied – it is matched to the ceiling material, which is worth planning for before installation day. Supply is ~220–230 V, 50/60 Hz, and the fitting is class I, so the circuit must have a protective earth. IP20 places it in dry interiors.
Alone and in groups
Nowodvorski designed ORGANIC to be combined: several plates at varying heights and angles read as a scatter of stones. The same family includes the single-light ORGANIC I (symbol 8303), which can be mixed with this three-light version.
