Reflector 10998 is a GU10 LED lamp in the R50 reflector shape: 7 W, 600 lm and a colour of 4000 K. The beam angle is 50°, and the lamp is dimmable.
R50 — why the shape matters
The R50 designation describes the envelope: reflector, 50 mm in diameter. At 5.4 cm high and 5 cm wide this lamp is noticeably longer than the "short" GU10s sold for shallow downlights. Before buying, check not only the cap but the depth of the fitting — in a flat recessed downlight an R50 may simply not fit under the trim. Fitting makers usually specify "GU10 R50" precisely to distinguish this variant.
A 50° beam — narrower than it sounds
A typical GU10 emits at 100–120°. These 50° are half that spread, so the light is distinctly concentrated: from a 2.6 m ceiling the pool on the floor is about 1.9 m across instead of 4–5 m. That changes the use — this lamp suits accent lighting: a picture, a shelf, a stretch of worktop, a shop display. For general room lighting it would be a poor choice, because dark bands would remain between the pools.
Dimmable — with one condition
The lamp is dimmable, which is not a given with LEDs and is worth valuing: it lets one fitting give strong task light and a subdued level in the evening. The condition works both ways, though — the dimmer must also be intended for LED loads. An old dimmer bought for incandescent lamps can, at a 7 W load, flicker, buzz, or fail to strike the lamp at all.

Class G — what it really means
Efficacy here is about 86 lm/W (600 lm ÷ 7 W), which places the lamp in class G on the new energy scale. That deserves context: the A–G scale in force since 2021 is far stricter than its predecessor, and directional sources with reflector optics inherently fare worse on it than plain omnidirectional lamps — some light is turned back by the optics and does not count toward the flux. A G on a reflector therefore does not mean poor engineering, only the physics of a concentrated beam.
4000 K and CRI above 80
4000 K is neutral white — brighter and more work-oriented than 3000 K, without the bluish cast of 6000 K. Combined with the narrow beam it produces the effect typical of display and kitchen lighting. CRI above 80 is the standard level of colour fidelity: adequate for most domestic uses, though for displaying textiles or food a CRI 90 source is worth considering.
