Nowodvorski RIO SENSOR 7017 is a black outdoor wall light with a motion sensor from the RIO collection. Its rectangular painted-aluminium body is divided by two transparent bands, with a further clear panel at the top. A round sensor element sits on the front below the light-emitting section.

A replaceable bulb, not an integrated LED

The fitting takes one E27 bulb. The manufacturer permits LED bulbs only, with a maximum rating of 10 W, and does not supply a bulb. You therefore need to choose a separate light source. Brightness and colour temperature depend on that choice rather than being fixed properties of the wall light. The illuminated product photograph does not indicate that a bulb is included.

The clear sections leave the bulb visible, so its appearance also contributes to the finished look. A replaceable source means the bulb can be changed later without replacing the whole fitting. The 10 W figure is the permitted bulb rating, not the output of a built-in LED module.

Motion detection and wall clearance

The manufacturer's drawing gives the motion sensor a range of 6 m. This describes detection range, not the distance over which the lamp lights an area. Consider RIO SENSOR for an entrance wall, terrace or balcony where motion detection is wanted. The manufacturer's outdoor designation and IP54 rating support these locations.

The body measures 18.5 cm high and 11 cm wide, projecting 10.5 cm from the wall. Compare these dimensions with the space beside a door frame and the path of an opening door before choosing its position. Straight edges, a black body and transparent bands suit a modern exterior without relying on decorative ornament.

Installation and supplied parts

The light is directly mounted and requires a 220–230 V, 50/60 Hz supply. It is a Class I fitting, and electrical connection must be carried out by a suitably qualified person. The package includes the fitting, instructions and a mounting kit. For cleaning, the manufacturer recommends a damp cloth after disconnecting the power and allowing the light to cool. Keep moisture away from electrical connections and let the fitting dry before switching it on again.
