Moss 6756BL is a black cylindrical LED spotlight on a curved bracket, sold as a set with a clamp for a pole 76 mm in diameter. The set consists of luminaire 6701 and clamp 6436. The body is cast aluminium powder-coated black (RAL 9005), and the front is closed by clear safety glass.
Pole mounting and connection
The clamp fits a pole 76 mm in diameter – check this figure against the pole the spotlight is going on. For 50 and 60 mm poles Norlys sells clamps 6434XX0009 and 6435XX0009 separately. The whole set measures 205 mm from clamp to head, 90 × 65 mm in the other two dimensions, and weighs 1 kg. The beam direction can also be adjusted in the vertical plane, so the light can be aimed up or down.
The luminaire has a 3 m H05RN-F 3G1 cable to be connected in a suitably chosen electrical junction box. The 145ZX0009 box is not included, and neither is the 6729XX0009 mounting adapter. It is a Class I luminaire, so the protective earth must be connected.
How much light and what kind
The integrated LED module is rated 8 W and the whole luminaire draws 8.4 W. The module produces 840 lm and 687 lm leaves the luminaire, which is 81.8 lm/W. 3000 K is warm white, and SDCM3 means several spotlights side by side shine in the same shade. The beam is symmetrical with a 36° angle – a spot for picking out one feature, such as a tree trunk or part of a facade, rather than for lighting a whole area. On request Norlys makes 2700 K versions and versions with a 15° or 24° beam.
The luminaire can be dimmed with a phase dimmer of either the trailing-edge or the leading-edge type. The light source has energy class E.
Weather resistance and service
IP65 means complete protection against dust and against water jets, so the spotlight can work in the open without any cover. The housing is rated IK06 for impact, and the manufacturer gives an operating range of −20 to +45 °C. The module's L70 lifetime is 59,000 h. The LED module is not user-replaceable – only Norlys service replaces it.
The manufacturer intends the spotlight for gardens, private grounds and architectural features, and also for venues such as hotels and restaurants.
