Outdoor wall light HITRA 1331GR LED 17.5 W 3000 K graphite RAL 7016 Norlys

HITRA 1331GR is an outdoor wall light shaped as a flat, rectangular box that sends its light only downwards, through a round window of safety glass in the underside of the housing. The body is powder-coated cast aluminium in graphite RAL 7016, a dark anthracite grey.

Size and wall mounting

The fitting is 15 cm wide and 6 cm high and projects 20 cm from the wall. It weighs 1.41 kg and is fixed through two ø4 mm holes spaced 104 mm apart. Norlys sells a corner bracket, 151XX0009, separately for mounting the light on the corner of a building.

The terminals take conductors up to 3 × 2.5 mm² and the gland a round cable of 7–10.5 mm diameter. Further fittings can be looped through with cable up to 3 × 1.5 mm², so a row of these lights along one facade or fence runs from a single circuit. The luminaire is protection class I and must be connected to the protective earth.

How much light, and what kind

The integrated Philips Fortimo LED module draws 17.5 W, and 1599 lm leave the fitting at 91.4 lm/W. That is roughly twice the output of an old 60 W bulb, enough to light a broad strip of wall below it, an entrance or a flight of steps. The 3000 K colour temperature is a warm white.

The light spreads in a downward half-sphere, and a ULOR of 0% means none of it goes above the fitting – into the sky or into windows higher up the facade. The luminaire cannot be dimmed and works on/off. The same housing is also sold as HITRA 1330 at 9.5 W and as HITRA 5115 with 4000 K light.

Build and servicing

IP65 means the housing is dust-tight and protected against water jets, so the light can hang on an unsheltered wall. Impact resistance is IK06, and Norlys makes an IK08 version to order. A silicone gasket and an EPDM cable gland keep the housing sealed.

Norlys rates the LED module for more than 50,000 hours (L70). The module is not replaced by the user: a professional service fits it using the ZS1331zx0009 service kit, without replacing the whole luminaire.

The light is intended for outdoor use on facades, fences and balconies, including at hotels and restaurants. Its plain geometric body without ornament suits a modern style.
