PEAR M 8672 is a pendant lamp with a clear glass shade shaped like a pear. A brass collar holds the shade, while the cable and the ceiling canopy are black. The glass is transparent, so the bulb stays visible from outside.
How big it is and how low it hangs
The shade is 22 cm across — over a table 80–90 cm wide that is a size at which one pendant lights a section of the top rather than the whole surface. Maximum suspension length is 188 cm; above a table the bottom edge of the shade is usually set 70–80 cm above the top.
The canopy measures 5.5 cm across and 7.5 cm deep, which covers a standard ceiling junction box. The manufacturer states that the suspension height is to be changed by a qualified electrician — it is not an adjustment you make yourself after unpacking. Net weight is 1.44 kg.
Which bulb to buy
The fitting has one light point with an E27 thread and takes a bulb of up to 25 W, LED only — the manufacturer does not allow halogen or incandescent sources in this housing. No bulb is included, so you choose the brightness and colour yourself: around 800 lm matches the old 60 W bulb, and 2700–3000 K gives warm, slightly yellow light.
The source is replaceable. Because the glass is clear, the shape of the bulb itself shows through — the bulb you pick decides how the lamp looks as much as how much light it gives.
Mounting, supply and what is in the box
The lamp is fixed to the ceiling on a mounting bridge. The box holds the bridge, the glass shade, the screws for the bridge and the installation manual. The housing is protection class I, so a protective earth conductor has to be present in the ceiling box.
Supply is 230 V, 50/60 Hz. The manufacturer intends the lamp for dry interiors only. It is made in Poland, in Siemianowice.
Where it is meant to go
The form is minimalist and modern: a single glass body, a thin black cable and the brass collar as the only bright detail. The manufacturer intends PEAR M for the living room, bedroom, kitchen and dining room, and also for offices, studies and hotel and restaurant interiors — anywhere a luminaire hangs over one particular spot rather than lighting a whole room.
