Sigma Dakota 1 – warm plywood framed by black steel

Dakota 1 is a compact ceiling light that combines a clean frame of black painted steel with a brown plywood enclosure. The open-bottomed rectangular shade surrounds the visible bulb, while the wood grain softens the strict geometry of the metal structure. Plywood is a natural material, so the grain pattern, tone and colouring may vary slightly between individual pieces. These differences are part of the design rather than a manufacturing defect.

Choose the light to suit the setting

A single E27 lampholder lets you select the source according to the required atmosphere and task. The maximum rating for an LED bulb is 15 W. No light source is supplied, leaving you free to choose its colour temperature, output and shape. As the bulb remains visible from below, it also affects the finished appearance: a decorative globe can reinforce the open industrial character, while an opal bulb can soften the direct view of the illuminated element.
