CAPRI R is a Rendl metal wall light shaped as half a cylinder, finished in brushed bronze. Its flat side sits against the wall and it is open at the top and bottom, so it shines up and down at the same time. Inside are two GU10 lampholders.
Dimensions
The fitting is 15.5 cm high and 10 cm wide and projects 6 cm from the wall. A body this shallow does not get in the way in a narrow hallway or beside a bed.
Bulbs and light
The wall light takes two GU10 bulbs, and the manufacturer allows up to 9 W in each lampholder. Bulbs are not included, so you need two LED GU10 lamps; Rendl recommends its own lamp, article G11841. It runs on 230 V with no separate driver.
Light leaves in two beams, up and down, drawing two bright cones on the wall above and below the fitting. Their width depends on the beam angle of the bulb you choose: a narrow reflector gives sharp, elongated patches, a wide one a softer wash across the wall. The light is decorative and orientational and will not replace the main lighting of a room.
The fitting has no dimmer of its own. The manufacturer states it can be dimmed with a suitable light source, meaning GU10 bulbs marked as dimmable and a dimmer in the circuit.
Finish and intended use
Brushed bronze has a warm metallic tone with fine visible brushing lines; the plain form with no ornament is modern and minimalist. Rendl intends CAPRI R for living rooms, bedrooms, children's rooms and hallways. The same wall light also comes in white and in brushed brass.
