LIZ III 60 is a bar pendant: a chromed rail 62 cm long and 10 cm wide, with three shades in milky opal glass hanging beneath it. The suspension gives 120 cm of adjustment, and the whole fitting fits within 144 cm of height.
A bar, not a chandelier
Three points in a line is a specific design decision: a fitting like this belongs over a table or a kitchen island, where the lit surface is elongated too. A chandelier with a circular arrangement would leave the ends of the table dark; the bar spreads light evenly along the whole length. 62 cm suits a four-seat table or a longer island – for a six-seat table the longer version of the range is worth considering.
Opal glass and chrome
The shades are opal glass – milky white all the way through, not merely surface-frosted. The difference shows once it is switched on: the lamp inside does not glare through as a bright point, the whole shade glows evenly. On a fitting hanging at the eye level of people seated at the table that is not cosmetic but a condition of comfort.
Bar and suspensions are chrome plated. Chrome reflects its surroundings, so the structure optically disappears above the table and what you see is mainly three glowing globes. Total weight is 3.5 kg – a concrete slab takes standard fixings, in a suspended ceiling you have to catch the supporting channel.
Three E27 sockets – you choose the lamp
The fitting has three E27 sockets rated to 15 W per point and comes without lamps. That means you pick colour, output and dimmability to suit your own table: 2700 K gives a warm, restaurant feel, 3000 K is the all-rounder, and if the fitting hangs over a work surface, 4000 K shows the colours of food more faithfully. Three 15 W E27 LEDs come to roughly 4000–4500 lumens in total today – enough to serve as the main light in a dining room. No external transformer is required.
