Rendl SWAY R12951 chrome bathroom wall light, LED 12 W 3000 K, 49 cm IP44

Rendl SWAY R12951 is a chrome-finished LED wall light with a long, narrow light bar and a rectangular wall base. Two short arms hold the bar in front of its mounting point, while the tilting light section lets you direct illumination towards a mirror or picture. This version is 49 cm long and provides warm white light at 3000 K.

Planning a position above a mirror

The manufacturer specifies use above a mirror or for picture lighting. Compare the bar length with the width of your mirror or frame before choosing a position: a fitting's length does not establish even coverage of a surface of any size. The stated depth is 8 cm, and the light bar profile is 3 cm high. These measurements help you check the space above the top edge and the clearance from nearby cabinetry.

The tilt range is 90°. Adjustment changes the direction of the bar, not its length. Choose the wall position according to the surface you want to illuminate, then set the light section within that range.

An integrated LED, not a separate bulb

The LED light source is integrated and included, so there is no screw-base bulb to select separately. Power is 12 W; Rendl lists a luminous flux of 1060 lm and colour rendering of Ra 80. The 3000 K colour temperature indicates warm white light and provides a useful comparison when coordinating this fitting with other lights around a mirror. The supply voltage is 230 V, and the transformer is included.

Chrome finish and installation requirements

The straight bar, reflective chrome finish and restrained base suit modern, modernist and minimalist interiors. Applications include mirrors in home or hotel bathrooms and pictures in corridors or restaurants. The IP44 rating includes protection against splashing water, but it does not make every bathroom mounting position permissible. Placement must meet the requirements of the electrical installation.

The manual requires a qualified installer and isolation of the main power before work begins. Handle the shade carefully: the manufacturer specifically warns that it can be damaged easily during handling.
