The medium Ripley LED wall lantern by Kichler comes in Olde Bronze — a dark, aged bronze with a lighter brass tone showing along the edges. The conical shade hangs from a straight arm with a diagonal support, and the whole fitting fixes to a round plate. It is supplied by Elstead Lighting.
Dimensions
The fitting is 23.5 cm high, the shade 25.4 cm wide, and it reaches 28.6 cm out from the wall; it weighs 0.77 kg. Beside a front door, compare that projection with the swing of the door leaf or the position of a canopy.
Outdoor conditions
The aluminium body is rated IP44, protected against splashing water and suitable for an exterior wall. It is a Class I fitting — an earth conductor is needed for connection.
How it lights
The built-in 8 W LED gives 813 lm, about the same as a 60 W bulb, in warm white 3000 K. With CRI 93, render, timber and planting beneath the lantern keep their natural colour. The solid conical shade sends light only downwards — the manufacturer notes that Ripley follows DarkSky principles and does not spill light into the sky. The source is not changed; the Polish data sheet lists the lantern as dimmable.
Form
The manufacturer traces Ripley's shape to craftsman-style architecture reduced to minimal volumes. The bronze finish with its brass glint brings out that traditional note more than the black version, while the geometry — cone, beam, plate — stays plain and spare. It is intended for facades and gardens.
