s.luce Orb Axis is a table lamp combining a brown hand-blown glass globe with a black metal tripod. The transparent tinted shade reveals the socket and bulb inside, making the chosen light source part of the lamp's appearance.
A glass globe on a slender frame
The globe measures 20 cm in diameter, while the complete lamp is 52 cm high and 22 cm wide. Slender crossing legs leave open space beneath the glass. These proportions allow the lamp to stand on a sideboard, bedside table or desk while keeping the surface around its base visible. Brown glass and black metal create a consistent pairing of materials.
The globe rests on the tripod and its position can be adjusted. Changing its orientation allows you to direct the light from the bulb lying inside. The manufacturer identifies this arrangement as a way of creating different light and shadow effects on surrounding walls. It can provide an atmospheric accent in a living room, on a shelf or beside a bed, and can also supplement lighting around a workspace.
A rotary control on the cable
One E27 socket accepts a bulb rated at a maximum of 40 W. A bulb is not included and must be selected separately. Its brightness and colour temperature determine the lighting effect. The bulb's shape also remains visible through the tinted glass, so its appearance contributes to the finished composition. The manufacturer suggests decorative LED filament bulbs.
The black textile cable carries a rotary control for switching the light on and off and adjusting its brightness. Dimming requires a suitable dimmable bulb compatible with the control. The cable is approximately 2 m long, helping you reach a power socket when placing the lamp on furniture. The glass globe is replaceable, allowing the appearance to be changed later with another compatible version from the series.
