s.luce Ring LED table lamp 40 cm black and gold with touch dimmer

The s.luce Ring 177738 is an LED table lamp built around an open metal circle measuring 40 cm across. Its brushed gold ring contrasts with a black base, while a narrow illuminated edge leaves the centre unobstructed. Rather than hiding the light behind a conventional shade, this black-and-gold version makes the circular outline the main feature.

Turn the ring to change the light direction

The ring has a 180° swivel range, allowing you to direct the light into the room or towards a wall. With indirect lighting, the distance to that surface and its colour also affect the reflected light. Changing direction therefore does not necessarily mean moving the whole lamp: you can reposition the ring itself.

Both the diameter and the height are 40 cm. Compare that measurement with the available space above a sideboard, side table or bedside table before choosing its position. The open circle remains a visible part of the arrangement when switched off; this is not a small lamp concealed beneath a shade.

Warm white light with controls at the base

The integrated LED source is rated at 19 W and 1350 lm, with a colour temperature of 3000 K. There is no separate bulb or fitting to choose. A colour-rendering index of CRI > 95 is useful when coloured objects or materials are viewed under the lamp.

The touch control sits in the base. Tap briefly to switch the light on or off, or hold the control to adjust brightness continuously. You can therefore make adjustments at the lamp rather than locating a separate control along the cable. The manufacturer provides for LED-strip replacement by its specialist technicians, not an ordinary user bulb change.

A clear outline for living and working spaces

The simple ring, brushed metal and absence of a fabric shade suit modern and minimalist interiors. Ring can provide supplementary lighting in a living room, bedroom or at a desk; the manufacturer also identifies direct lighting for reading. For a particular task, set the ring direction and brightness to suit the actual surface rather than assuming a decorative circle replaces all the room's lighting.
