s.luce Velo 8-Light Smoked Glass Pendant, Ø18 cm Shades, Black Ø80 cm Canopy

s.luce Velo is an eight-light pendant composition with elongated smoked-glass shades and black suspension. Vertical grooves run along each shade, which is open underneath. The group descends from one round ceiling canopy measuring 80 cm in diameter.

Slender shades and a long suspension

Each glass shade is 18 cm in diameter and 33 cm high. These tall, narrow proportions matter when arranging eight elements in a vertical composition. The metal canopy is 4 cm high and brings the cables together at one ceiling location rather than requiring eight separate ceiling connection points.

The textile cables are 500 cm long and can be shortened to the chosen height arrangement. Individual shades can therefore form a group extending downwards or hang closer together. The manufacturer identifies open living and dining areas, stairwells, mezzanine spaces, entrance areas and shops as settings for this version.

Light sources visible through the glass

Each of the eight E27 sockets requires a bulb rated at no more than 40 W. Bulbs are not included. Light colour and brightness of the group therefore depend on the selected sources, while the translucent glass also leaves their shape visible. Dimming the group requires dimmable bulbs and a compatible dimmer.

Mouth-blown glass forms a surround for each bulb, while the opening underneath lets light travel directly downwards. The vertical grooves remain a visible detail even when the light is off. A simple black canopy and slim cords emphasise the modern, minimalist arrangement. Installation needs a 230 V supply and the earth conductor required for Class I protection.
