The SABER LED L is a wall light shaped as a slim 120 cm rod in an olive finish. The LED is built in permanently, and the fitting is held to the wall by an oval base measuring 5.5 Γ 13.5 cm.
How much wall it takes
The rod is 120 cm long and 5.5 cm thick, and it stands 13.5 cm off the wall. That last figure decides where the light fits: in a hallway people walk through, subtract it from the width of the passage.
The fitting weighs 615 g, so what the wall is made of matters more for the fixing than the weight of the lamp.
The light it gives
The LED module draws 16 W and puts out 540 lm at 3000 K, a warm, slightly yellow light. That is well below an old 60 W bulb, which corresponds to roughly 800 lm β this is a supplementary light beside a bed, next to an armchair or along a hallway wall rather than lighting for a whole room.
The beam spreads at 100Β°, and a colour rendering index above 90 means colours look almost as they do in daylight. That matters where the light falls on a picture, a mirror or a coloured wall. The manufacturer states a life of 30,000 hours; the light source cannot be replaced, as it is integrated into the fitting.
Mounting and what is in the box
The fitting mounts directly onto the wall and runs at 220β230 V. It is protection class I, so the connection needs an earth conductor β something to check in the box it will be wired into.
The carton holds the fitting, the user manual, the mounting instructions and an Allen key. The manufacturer intends the model for living rooms, bedrooms, dining rooms and studies, as well as hotel and restaurant interiors.
