SIMONE Pendant Lamp 11411 Nowodvorski

SIMONE 11411 is a pendant lamp with a flat, plate-shaped shade 40 cm across, made of white painted steel. The light source sits in a small cylindrical housing at the centre of the disc and faces down, so the bulb itself stays out of sight from below. The fitting hangs on a slim white suspension finished with a 5.5 cm ceiling cup.

How big it is and how low it hangs

The disc is 40 cm across, which keeps sensible proportions over a table 80–90 cm wide. The shade and its socket housing together take up 17.5 cm of height, and the whole suspension measures at most 140 cm from the ceiling — compare that with your own room, because over a tabletop the shade's lower edge belongs 70–80 cm above it.

Shortening the suspension is reserved by the manufacturer for a qualified electrician, so it is not a step you handle during installation. The lamp weighs 1.9 kg net, and the 5.5 cm wide, 7.5 cm tall ceiling cup covers the outlet.

Which bulb you need to buy

The fitting has one light point with a GX53 socket and takes LED bulbs only, up to 12 W. No bulb is included, so you choose colour and brightness yourself: 3000 K gives warm white close to a traditional bulb, 4000 K a neutral, more task-like light. The source is replaceable, so years from now you change the bulb rather than the whole fitting.

The steel disc is opaque and the GX53 module sits in a recess at its centre, so the light goes narrowly down onto the surface below and leaves ceiling and walls dark. This is a fitting for lighting one specific spot, not a whole room.

Installation and operating conditions

SIMONE mounts directly to the ceiling at an existing outlet. It is a class I fitting and therefore needs an earth conductor — in wiring without earthing it cannot be connected as intended. The manufacturer specifies it for indoor use only.

The box holds the fitting plus a manual and a mounting manual; the shipment weighs 2.5 kg gross. The lamp runs on 220–230 V at 50/60 Hz and needs no separate driver.

Where it belongs

The manufacturer places SIMONE over a dining table and calls the style modern — which the shape bears out: a plain white disc, a thin suspension and a hidden source. It is made in Poland, in Częstochowa. In the same SIMONE series the shade also comes in black, sage green, terracotta and grey-blue.
