DIO FLEX PLATE LED is an SLV display wall light built on a very simple idea: a round canopy 9 cm across is surface-mounted to the wall, and out of it grows a flexible arm ending in a small head. The arm holds whatever shape you give it, so the beam points exactly where it is needed and can be changed at any moment without tools. Overall length is 49.8 cm.

There is a switch on the body. That detail decides how the fitting is used: it can be wired to a permanent supply and operated independently of the general lighting, with no separate run to a wall switch. Hence its natural places — beside a picture or a display shelf, at a bedhead as a reading light, on a reception desk or in a shop window.

A narrow, precise beam

The head has a 45° half beam angle and gives 100 lm for 1.9 W (52 lm/W). That is not much, and it is not meant to be: DIO FLEX lights an object, not a room. 4000 K is neutral white, so the white of paper and the grey of metal do not shift towards yellow; colour rendering is 80. The manufacturer classes the model as a display light.

Supply and installation

Contrary to descriptions circulating online, this is not a "high-voltage" fitting — the German Hochvolt simply means mains voltage, as opposed to the 12 V low-voltage versions. DIO FLEX PLATE LED connects straight to the installation: the manufacturer quotes 100–240 V, 50/60 Hz, with the driver delivering 350 mA on the secondary side. The luminaire works in protection class I and therefore requires the PE earth conductor to be connected.

IP20 restricts it to dry interiors, while the permitted ambient temperature runs from −20 °C to +45 °C, which leaves headroom in unheated exhibition spaces. The body is aluminium finished in black and the complete fitting weighs 0.522 kg. The LED module is built in — per the manufacturer's declaration, replacing it is a job for a professional, not the user.
