Steinel IS 2160 ECO is a black passive infrared motion detector for surface wall mounting. The manufacturer specifies it for indoor and outdoor use. The COM1 version operates at 230–240 V / 50 Hz and switches loads of up to 600 W.
Detection and settings
The detection angle is 160° with 260 switching zones. Radial reach is 3 m and tangential reach is 12 m, so these figures should be compared with the direction of movement at the intended location. The twilight threshold adjusts from 2 to 2000 lx and the time setting from 8 s to 35 min. Controls are potentiometers.
Mounting and dimensions
Steinel specifies a mounting height of 1.80–3.00 m, with 2 m recommended. The housing measures 73 × 78 × 113 mm, is rated IP54, and is finished in black RAL 9005. It supports cable-based Master/Master networking; installation and electrical connection should be carried out by a qualified installer.
