Steinel IS 345 KNX V3.1 UP is a square recessed infrared motion sensor for integration with a KNX installation. Variant 058265 is intended for ceiling mounting, with a white housing and a detection pattern designed for long, narrow circulation routes.
Detection along a route
The manufacturer specifies a maximum mounting height of 5 m. The detection zone is 12 × 6 m for radial movement and 23 × 6 m for tangential movement. Compare these dimensions with the actual passage and proposed mounting position before selecting the sensor. Its detection angle is 180°.
KNX configuration
The sensor operates on the KNX bus and is configured through ETS. The ambient-light threshold is adjustable from 2 to 1000 lx. Range-limiting shrouds are included, allowing the detection field to be tailored to a particular zone.
Dimensions and protection
The housing is 16 cm wide, 12.4 cm long and 9 cm high. Its IP20 rating should be considered when planning the installation location.
