Trio BRENTA outdoor wall lamp 201760142

Trio BRENTA 201760142 is an anthracite outdoor wall light with a broad metal shade and a clear glass cover around the bulb. A curved arm connects the light head to a round wall plate, giving the fitting its vintage silhouette. The body is die-cast aluminium, while the transparent glass keeps the chosen bulb visible.

Allow room for the projecting arm

The fitting is 32 cm high, with a 30 cm diameter shade and a projection of 31.5 cm from the wall. That projection is worth checking against the intended position, rather than considering only the space on the facade. BRENTA extends into the area in front of its mounting surface. Beside an entrance, compare it with the door's opening path; on a narrow balcony, also consider the remaining walking space.

The glass cover is 16 cm high and 9.5 cm in diameter. Its smaller proportions beneath the broad shade are part of this design's recognisable shape. The manufacturer specifies wall mounting only, so this is not a ceiling fitting or a hanging lantern.

Choose one E27 bulb separately

The light has one E27 socket, rated for a bulb of up to 40 W, and operates at 230 V. No bulb is supplied. Brightness and colour temperature therefore depend on the light source you buy, rather than being fixed characteristics of the empty fitting.

Clear glass leaves the bulb's appearance on show instead of concealing it behind an opaque diffuser. Alongside the correct base and permitted wattage, consider the bulb's shape and light output when choosing it. The lit photograph illustrates the fitting, not a guaranteed included bulb or a specified warm light setting.

A vintage outline on an exterior wall

BRENTA is designated for outdoor use and carries an IP44 rating. It can be considered for a facade, entrance, terrace or balcony where a suitable wall mounting position is available. IP44 provides protection against splashing water, not immersion or powerful water jets. The anthracite body, wide shade and exposed glass cover work with retro and industrial details. Its projecting outline makes it a visible part of the facade composition, unlike a slim wall light designed to sit close to the surface.
