Trio JOHANN 606905032 matt black ceiling light 50 cm 1×E27

The Trio JOHANN 606905032 is a matt black ceiling light with an open metal shade. Curved rods form a broad, flattened body around one visible bulb. Rather than hiding the light source behind an opaque diffuser, the design leaves gaps between the rods as a defining part of its appearance.

A 50 cm shade without a long suspension

The fitting measures 50 cm in diameter and 18 cm in height. It mounts directly to the ceiling, so there is no long pendant cable below the ceiling plate. When planning its position, compare both its height and its full diameter with the space available. The shade extends considerably beyond the small central mounting plate.

Trio identifies living rooms and bedrooms as intended settings. Its ceiling-mounted format can also provide decorative lighting in a dining room, entrance hall or corridor where the dimensions suit the space. The open shade should not be mistaken for a directional reading light.

Choose the E27 bulb separately

There is one E27 socket for a bulb rated at no more than 60 W. No bulb is supplied, and the manufacturer recommends an LED bulb. Brightness and colour temperature therefore depend on the light source you choose rather than on a fixed integrated LED module. Warm light in the photographs does not establish a fixed colour temperature for this fitting.

The bulb remains visible between the rods and through the opening underneath. Its shape consequently matters to the overall appearance as well as to the lighting specification. The open structure allows a pattern of light and shadow to appear on the ceiling; it does not produce the same effect as a continuous enclosed diffuser.

Black metal with a repeated curved profile

The regular arches combine geometric lines with the vintage character assigned to the series by Trio. Their matt black finish also works as a graphic element in modern interiors. Against a pale ceiling, the outline remains visible when switched off. JOHANN is intended for indoor use with a 230 V supply; installation requires a protective earth connection in accordance with the instructions.
