Trio MAYENNE 218560231 matt white outdoor wall light, 2×E14

Trio MAYENNE 218560231 is a matt white outdoor wall light with a rectangular die-cast aluminium body. Light leaves through the top and bottom, while the broad front remains an unlit surface. It is an option for lighting the wall around the fitting rather than displaying an exposed bulb.

Light above and below the fitting

The two openings direct light along the wall in opposite directions. On a façade or a wall beside a terrace, this creates a lighting accent instead of sending all the light out in front. The manufacturer specifies outdoor use and also identifies damp rooms and garden sheds as possible settings for MAYENNE.

Its IP44 rating means protection against solid objects larger than 1 mm and splashing water from different directions. It does not mean dust-tight construction or protection against immersion. In a bathroom, the mounting position must satisfy the requirements of the relevant electrical zone; IP44 does not make every position suitable.

Choose two bulbs separately

There are two E14 sockets, each rated for a maximum of 10 W, and bulbs are not supplied. The manufacturer recommends LED bulbs, but their colour temperature and light output remain separate purchasing choices. The warm light shown in the setting photograph is therefore not a fixed colour temperature supplied with this fitting.

Compare the specifications of both bulbs if you want a similar effect above and below the housing. These are replaceable light sources, not an integrated LED module. The fitting operates on a 230 V supply.

A horizontal body with defined dimensions

The housing measures 25 cm wide and 11 cm high, with a projection of 10 cm from the wall. Check those dimensions against the available façade space and nearby architectural features before positioning it. Straight edges, matt white surfaces and the absence of decorative arms suit modern and minimalist schemes. MAYENNE is designed for wall mounting only, not ceiling installation.
